Our history: transport solutions for over 43 years
Founded in 1981 as Heuma Speditions- und Lagerungsgesellschaft mbH (HSL Heuma), the company offers over 43 years of experience in the transport business with our valuable customers and partners. Constant innovations in the technology sector also enable us to utilise modern communication options in order to keep our communication channels short and clear. Heuma has its roots in Cologne. Cologne has been an epicentre of trade and commerce for over four thousand years.
Cologne was founded by the Romans in 50 AD and quickly became a successful centre for trade and production.
Even after the Romans left Cologne, Cologne did not lose its importance. Between 1200 and 1500 AD, the city grew due to its excellent location on the Rhine and became an important hub for trade routes and the connection between north and south. Even today, merchant ships transport goods from north to south and vice versa.
